The rest of Pride Month in New York City will be jam-packed with festivities celebrating the community and commemorating the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. Below are some key events outlined by NYC Pride, including parties, festivals, plays, youth Pride, and the main events on. Our mission Heritage of Pride is the non profit organization that plans and produces New York City's official LGBTQIA+ Pride events each year.
Each year's events commemorate the Stonewall Uprising of — the beginning of the modern Gay Rights movement. Fun gay parties, drag brunch, queer entertainment, gay cultural events, lesbian parties, lectures on LGBTQ+ subjects & more. in NYC. June has been an important month for the LGBTQ+ rights movement since New York City's first Pride march - then dubbed the "Christopher Street Gay Liberation Day" march - on June 28, Join us for Bronx Pride at Westchester Ave.
There is no cover, and you can purchase raffle tickets at the event. The funds we earn from the raffle make the march safe and accessible, paying for wheelchairs, ASL interpreters, marshal t-shirts, the banner, etc.

Come to Bluestockings Cooperative on Saturday, March 9 from pm to learn about how you can be a part of this year's march as either a marshal or a member of the planning committee!
Marshals volunteer for the day of the event to ensure the March runs smoothly. The Planning Committee meets from March through June planning the March and events leading up to the March, like our iconic Raffle fundraiser. Stop by the cafe at Bluestockings, chat with a committee member, and learn about how you can join the volunteer efforts for the NYC Dyke March! For the past 31 years, thousands of Dykes have taken the streets from Bryant Park to Washington Square Park on the last Saturday in June in protest of injustices we face and in celebration of our shared Dyke identity.
The Dyke March is a protest march, not a part of pride - we do not work with cops or corporations. What does it mean to join the committee? Every year, the March is organized by a volunteer committee that accepts new members annually. The committee is non-hierarchical and open to anyone who identifies as a Dyke.
We typically begin planning in March or April, which includes with weekly meetings on about topics like march logistics, fundraising events, accessibility, social media, and community expectations. Watch the fiercest vogue by legendary dancers from the House of Oricci and Babylon! Get down to your fave Hot Rabbit DJs! And watch incredible performances including drag, burlesque, vocalists, circus, and more!
Part of all proceeds will directly benefit NYC Dyke March, working to highlight the presence of dykes in our community. Doors open at 7pm, prizes called beginning at 8pm. Tickets are available on a sliding scale; please pay what you can. Each entry ticket comes with 10 raffle prize tickets to bid on your favorite items. More raffle prize tickets are available for purchase.
This event has indoor and outdoor space, is wheelchair accessible, and will include ASL interpretation. Step off from Bryant Park at 5pm with us and thousands of other dykes as we take over 5th avenue, ending at the fountain at Washington Square Park. Calling all marshals!
