The only thing Phil was compromised by was his absolute strain of a wife and his old school ways. Phil did things by the book. Hell, if Tony had just backed Johnny in S5 instead of staying neutral, Tony B never goes off the reservation, Johnny wins the war easily, and there isn't any beef between Phil and Jersey later.
